Job description
We are dedicated to making the highest levels of security available to organizations of all sizes, and we need a qualified IT Systems/Security Engineer to assist with the day-to-day operations required to achieve that. If you meet most or all of the below requirements, we'd love to schedule a conversation with you, * Assess, deploy, evaluate and monitor system patches
- Ensure 24/7 access to critical systems
- Provide end-user support, training and system administration
- Work with engineering teams to evaluate and secure next generation platforms
- Maintain and develop PXE environment and infrastructure
- Maintain virtual machine environment and infrastructure
- Administrate and maintain NAS servers
- Provide customer support and deployment services for StrongKey products when necessary
- Be part of a rotating 24/7 tier-3 after hours support team
- Maintain security baselines for systems and products
- Use tools (such as the NVD) to assess vulnerabilities and determine impact and mitigation
- Handle physical data center infrastructure for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
StrongKey, a 25 year old data security company, is looking for a motivated and detail individual to join our team in the USA., * Graduate with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field within the last 7 years
- 2-4 years of experience in IT Security
- Live within 100 miles of either Fremont CA or Durham NC, * Ability to analyze system patches/updates and their impact
- Understanding of networking, TCP/IP, VPNs, etc.
- Familiarity with Dell and SuperMicro workstations and servers
- Ability to lift up to 65lbs
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience
- Experience with Linux (RHEL) essential; knowledge of Windows Server desirable
- Understanding of VMWare ESXi Administration is a plus
- Understanding of Nessus is a plus
- Any related security certifications are a plus (GSEC, Security+, CEH, CISSP, etc)
This is a full-time position. We're looking for candidates who are authorized to work in the US, and who have excellent communication skills., * Bachelor's (Preferred)
