Windows Deployment Technician

We're hiring a Windows Deployment Technician for a 2+ month contract supporting a large-scale Windows 11 migration and Dell laptop deployment project. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional with strong desktop support experience who enjoys working directly with end users in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

In this role, you'll deploy Windows 11 laptops, assist users with Microsoft 365 setup, coordinate deployment schedules, track hardware assets, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the migration process. Responsibilities

• Deploy Dell laptops as part of a company-wide Windows 11 migration
• Image and configure Dell laptops as needed
• Conduct large-group deployment sessions and provide clear technical instruction
• Perform one-on-one laptop deployments and end-user setup
• Assist users with:
• Microsoft 365 (Office 365) email
• Microsoft Teams
• Business application installation and configuration
• Schedule deployment appointments with end users
• Track deployment progress, assets, and inventory using Microsoft Excel and internal tools
• Collect and document returned legacy devices
• Follow up with users to ensure a successful deployment experience
• Primarily perform deployments from the Long Beach office with occasional travel (less than 10%) to nearby customer or remote office locations

• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 desktop environments
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Office 365) and Microsoft Teams
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to present technical information to groups and work directly with end users
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for tracking or reporting
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deployment activities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise Windows deployment, laptop refresh, or hardware migration projects
• Experience deploying or supporting Dell laptops
• Windows imaging experience
• Asset management or inventory tracking experience
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, SCCM/MECM, or other endpoint management tools
• Active Directory user support experience
