The Application Infrastructure Engineer will manage VMware environments, design networks, and ensure security, supporting national security through modernization of IT infrastructure. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining VMware on-prem private cloud environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, HA/DRS, vSAN, and lifecycle management
- Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining VMware NSX or NSX-T for micro-segmentation, routing, and software-defined networking
- Experience with VMware virtualization best practices for performance, resilience, and security in enterprise environments
- Experience managing servers such as Windows, Linux, or Mac
- Experience with vSphere administration, networking, server management, and virtual environments
- Experience communicating and interacting with clients via email and phone
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
- 3+ years of experience managing top of rack switching networks through vendors such as Cisco and Juniper
- 2+ years of experience with scripting, including Shell Scripting, PowerShell, or Python
- Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, frameworks, federal security authorizations, assessment, and risk management processes for enterprise systems
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
