Job description

The Network Security Engineer is responsible for the operational management, stability, and security of enterprise network security platforms, with a primary focus on Fortinet Next-Generation Firewalls and Zscaler cloud security services (ZIA/ZPA). The role ensures secure connectivity across on-premises, cloud, and remote access environments through proactive monitoring, lifecycle management, and close coordination with vendors and internal teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering or security operations roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet firewall platforms (FortiGate).

  • Working knowledge of Zscaler ZIA and/or ZPA.

  • Practical experience with firewall policy management, IDS/IPS concepts, and proxy technologies.

  • Experience supporting upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

  • Familiarity with monitoring, ticketing, and change management processes.

  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills. - Experience operating network security platforms in hybrid or cloud-connected environments.

  • Exposure to SASE, Zero Trust, and ZTNA models.

  • Understanding of network segmentation and defense-in-depth principles.

  • Certifications such as Fortinet NSE, PCNSE, Zscaler, or CCNP Security are a plus.

  • Experience working in regulated enterprise environments.
