Job description
The engineer will work with senior technical staff to translate customer needs into system requirements, support architecture and interface development, execute test activities, and document findings for technical reviews and customer deliverables. This position is well suited for an early-career engineer who wants to build practical systems engineering experience while supporting cyber, electronic warfare, communications, and C5ISR-related programs., * Support the development and documentation of system architectures, lab configurations, interfaces, and test environments
- Assist with requirements development, interface descriptions, verification approaches, test plans, and supporting design documentation
- Support integration and test activities involving hardware, software, networks, simulators, lab infrastructure, and representative fielded equipment
- Collect, organize, and analyze test data to evaluate system behavior, performance, limitations, and technical risk
- Assist with lab, HIL/SIL, modeling and simulation, field test, exercise, and interoperability activities
- Document test results, findings, action items, and recommendations for technical reviews and customer deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- 0-3 years of experience in systems engineering, technical analysis, laboratory engineering, or development of complex technical systems
- Experience with RF or communications systems, SDRs, wireless networks, datalinks, tactical radios, SATCOM, antennas, waveforms, protocols, or related C5ISR systems
- Ability to conduct deep technical research into system behavior, interfaces, operating constraints, equipment capabilities, and representative mission use cases to support appropriate lab design
- Familiarity with systems that include hardware, software, networks, lab equipment, simulators, or fielded equipment
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams, follow technical direction, and communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- Experience supporting system integration, test planning, test execution, verification activities, or evaluation of system performance
- Experience developing or maintaining technical documentation such as lab guides, interface descriptions, test procedures, architecture diagrams, verification matrices, or customer deliverables
- Familiarity with communications concepts such as message flows, timing, routing, spectrum, modulation, link budgets, RF test equipment, or protocol analysis
- Experience using engineering tools for analysis, scripting, data review, diagramming, configuration management, or lab/test execution
Basic Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 (For Ohio only)The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
