Job description

  • Develop, analyze, and manage system requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Support requirements decomposition, traceability, verification planning, and configuration management.
  • Coordinate technical activities across Government, FFRDC, UARC, and industry partners.
  • Develop engineering documentation including:
  • Systems Engineering Plans
  • Interface Control Documents
  • Requirements Documentation
  • Verification Cross Reference Matrices
  • Technical Briefings
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and working groups.
  • Conduct trade studies, engineering assessments, and risk analyses.
  • Support technical baseline management and change control processes.
  • Assist with integration planning, system verification, validation, and operational transition activities.
  • Prepare executive-level briefings and decision-support materials.
  • Coordinate with program managers, chief engineers, and operational stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Support enterprise systems engineering efforts across multiple Space Force mission areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline (4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree)
  • 5 years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or Federal programs.
  • Experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes.
  • Experience developing or managing requirements.
  • Experience supporting technical integration across multiple organizations.
  • Experience developing engineering documentation and technical briefings.
  • Experience working directly with Government customers.
  • Must have a current active Secret Security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with in-scope SSBI/T5 background investigation and obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program accesses., * U.S. Space Force

Benefits & conditions

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
