Job description

A leading transportation equipment manufacturer is seeking an experienced Software Analyst to support engineering projects involving software documentation, supplier coordination, and software lifecycle management. This role works closely with internal engineering teams and third-party suppliers to ensure software deliverables meet project schedules, customer requirements, and industry standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in software engineering, project coordination, technical documentation, and supplier management within a manufacturing, transportation, aerospace, automotive, or other regulated engineering environment., * Review supplier software design and lifecycle documentation for technical accuracy and compliance with applicable industry standards.

  • Coordinate software-related project deliverables, including schedules for software workstations and testing equipment.
  • Track, prepare, and submit software documentation to customers and suppliers.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Monitor software project schedules and ensure all documentation requirements are met.
  • Maintain software configuration management records, including software modification requests and version history.
  • Support document control and software version management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Recommend hardware specifications for software development workstations and related deliverables.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to software management processes and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and provide technical support as needed.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting software implementation, software lifecycle management, or software engineering projects.
  • Experience reviewing technical software documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Strong project coordination, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
