Job description

This position is responsible for undertaking engineering assignments that are considered to be of "nominal complexity" in size and scope. This position is further responsible to provide technical support and direction for engineering activities including the definition and coordination for design review and implementation, establishing inspection plans, program/project development and consulting, statistical methods, audits, and continuous improvement approaches to ensure activities are consistent with SEPTA mission values and goals., * Provides technical assistance to vehicle maintenance personnel upon request.

  • Oversees any vehicular reporting assignments which pertain to assigned tasks.

  • Defines, implement, and document new or more effective maintenance procedures for an assigned fleet of vehicles.

  • Administers bus operation technology systems including AVM, Infotainment, ASAS, Passenger Wi-Fi, analytical systems, program deployment and authentication systems.

  • Utilizes computerized maintenance records and systems as an aid in resolving issues related to vehicle system fault or malfunction.

  • Provides management with operational data-driven reports that will establish and track efficiency of project(s) and provide basis for management decisions.

Requirements

Only candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, will be accepted at this time., * Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline required.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of related experience equating to one year of post High School education), may be considered in lieu of the above requirements.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required.
  • Computer skills required. Must be proficient in MS software applications, including Excel, Access, Outlook and Word.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Some previous knowledge of vehicular applications and statistical analysis work experience preferred.
