Job description

  • Conduct advanced cyber threat intelligence analysis to identify adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Perform deep-dive packet capture (PCAP) analysis, network forensics, and protocol analysis to uncover malicious activity.
  • Decode, decrypt, and analyze sophisticated APT communications and network protocols.
  • Reverse engineer malicious implants, malware, and adversary toolsets to support cyber investigations.
  • Evaluate technical indicators and cyber intrusion data to produce actionable intelligence for operational teams.
  • Develop and refine analytic methodologies, workflows, CONOPS, and SOPs that improve investigative capabilities and operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with FBI personnel, Intelligence Community partners, and other law enforcement organizations to synchronize cyber threat intelligence efforts.
  • Prepare and present technical and executive-level briefings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Mentor government personnel by providing analytic methodology training and reviewing peer products for technical accuracy.
  • Handle digital evidence in accordance with forensic best practices while maintaining proper chain of custody.
  • Provide expert technical support and testimony regarding investigative methodologies and analytic findings, as required.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a current Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant cyber threat intelligence, cyber operations, network analysis, digital forensics, or related experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience conducting advanced cyber threat intelligence analysis against sophisticated nation-state actors.
  • Strong experience performing packet capture (PCAP) analysis and network traffic investigations.
  • Experience decoding and analyzing network protocols.
  • Experience reverse engineering malware, malicious implants, or adversary toolsets.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, and enterprise network architecture.
  • Experience analyzing cyber intrusion data and identifying adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Ability to develop and deliver clear technical reports and executive-level briefings.
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary cyber or intelligence teams., Experience supporting FBI, Intelligence Community, or other federal cyber operations.

Knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix, and mobile operating systems (iOS/Android).

Experience with digital forensics and evidence handling procedures.

Familiarity with commercial security technologies, including McAfee, Symantec, Trend Micro, or comparable enterprise security platforms.

Experience developing cyber analytic tradecraft, methodologies, CONOPS, or SOPs.

Previous experience providing technical mentorship or instruction to analysts and investigators. Why Join Peraton?

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
