Job description
Works under the supervision of the Systems Support Supervisor. The Network Support Specialist's primary job functions are to design, support, install and ensure the continued operation of network hardware and network/client security software. Implements and supports network-centric hardware/software. Implements and supports Information Systems security structure. Performs other duties as assigned., INSTRUCTIONS: Rate if the employee demonstrates competence, does not demonstrate competence, or if the competence is not applicable during this performance/competence review period.

- Network Management: Installs core and edge switches. Configures switches. Maintains appropriate software versions on all switches. Troubleshoots network issues as they arise. Manages public internet connectivity for patients and visitors. Maintains all external internet IP schemes

- Wireless Management: Installs access points, antennas, and wireless controllers. Configures access points and wireless controllers to work with computer and voice devices. Performs necessary software upgrades on wireless controllers. Troubleshoots wireless issues as they arise

- Printer/Copier Management: Test and install printer drivers. Maintains all network scanning from copiers. Manages all network copier installs with vendor
Requirements

High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam required.

Two years of college/training in a relevant field or equivalent experience required., * Two years related work experience preferred.
