Job description

  • Develop and enhance full stack applications supporting Waltz Health marketplace and cash card products, including web applications, back-end services, data ingestion, transformation, pricing, and platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Business, and client stakeholders to gather requirements, contribute to roadmap planning, and deliver technology solutions aligned with business priorities.
  • Design, build, and support scalable, secure, cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, data services, and supporting platform services.
  • Provide L2 production support for escalated user issues, analyze customer feedback and operational metrics, and recommend improvements to application functionality and performance.
  • Contribute to engineering best practices related to code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps, observability, release readiness, and quality assurance.
  • Design and implement API integrations, microservices, and reusable services using technologies such as .NET, Python, React or Angular, SQL databases, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure-native services.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews, document technical decisions, share knowledge with team members, and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive engineering culture.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
  • All other duties as assigned., * 40 Hours (40 Hours per week, 5 days of the week)
  • In the first 90 days, learn the Waltz platform and related applications, ensure roadmap items are well articulated for immediate enhancements, and lead development of front-end and back-end applications focused on data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and pricing.
  • Operate effectively in an Agile and DevOps environment, balancing hands-on development, technical leadership, production support, and cross-functional stakeholder communication.

Requirements

Waltz Health is looking for a skilled Sr. Full Stack Engineer to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of web, back-end, data, and cloud applications across the marketplace platform. This role will work closely with technology, product management, architecture, and business leaders to define requirements, maintain a continuous roadmap, and deliver scalable healthcare technology solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on engineering experience, curiosity, and a start-up mindset, with the ability to lead application development, mentor engineers, and support production applications through L2 issue resolution., * Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of technical education and professional experience required.

  • Experience and/or Training 6-8 years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on full stack development and technical leadership of projects or teams.
  • Licenses/Certificates No specific license required; relevant cloud, DevOps, or engineering certifications are a plus.
  • Technology/Equipment Strong hands-on experience building scalable, secure applications on Microsoft Azure using .NET/C#, ASP.NET, Python, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Experience developing front-end and back-end applications, RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations for healthcare, marketplace, or data-driven platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including PostgreSQL and/or Snowflake; experience with data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and pricing workflows.
  • Comfortable working in Agile and DevOps environments, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Jenkins or similar tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform.
  • Ability to provide L2 support, troubleshoot production issues, review customer feedback, and translate operational insights into roadmap improvements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technology, product, business, and client teams and translate business requirements into technical plans and tradeoffs., * Education Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology field preferred.
  • Experience and/or Training Experience in healthcare technology, pharmacy, marketplace platforms, or fast-moving start-up environments preferred.
  • Licenses/Certificates Microsoft Azure, DevOps, Kubernetes, or related technical certifications preferred.
  • Technology/Equipment Experience with CSS3, HTML5, design systems, accessibility, theming, reusable components, and modern front-end engineering practices.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, dbt, Talend, or similar data ingestion and ETL/ELT tools.
  • Deep SQL knowledge and experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake.
  • Exposure to AI/ML frameworks or cloud-based AI services such as Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or TensorFlow.
