Job description
We are seeking a self-sufficient Applications Engineer to deliver expert technical support, develop robust manufacturing processes, and ensure seamless CNC machine setups and customer handoffs. In this role, you will work closely with clients to optimize production processes, program CNC equipment, and provide hands-on training both in-house and at customer sites.

Responsibilities: CNC Programming & Setup: Write CNC programs, adapt tooling and work-holding components, set up machines, and debug entire machining processes.
Customer Support & Training: Perform machine setups at customer sites, conduct acceptance testing, and deliver hands-on operational training.
Blueprint & Time Study Analysis: Review customer part prints, time studies, and machine quotations to design effective production processes.
Technical Troubleshooting: Provide timely assistance for programming, tooling, and operational issues via phone, email, or site visits.
Project Preparation: Prepare, inventory, and package equipment for shipping and maintain a clean, safe shop area.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Requirements
Machinery Expertise: Prior hands-on experience with high-precision production turning machines, Swiss-style lathes, or multi-spindle equipment.
Advanced Project Management: Formal training or demonstrated success managing end-to-end machinery setup and delivery projects
Education: High School
Experience: 1-4 years
Qualifications: Education & Experience: High School diploma (or equivalent) plus 2+ years of experience in project management, engineering technology, or a precision manufacturing environment.
CNC & Machining Knowledge: Proven ability to write CNC programs and set up complex tooling and work-holding fixtures.
Blueprint Reading & Shop Math: Proficient in reading engineering drawings and applying math concepts like geometry and trigonometry.
Technical Software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.
Licensing & Mobility: Valid driver?s license and willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
Physical Ability: Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work safely around active shop machinery.
