Job description
Work Schedule: 9am-5pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday. This will be a hybrid opportunity, with the requirement to report to the customer site in Washington DC as needed, Provide technical direction, mentorship, and problem resolution across software development, system architecture, and DevSecOps workstreams. Drive system architecture designs toward loosely coupled system-of-systems implementations utilizing microservices, event-driven patterns, and modular design principles. Oversee shared tools, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Nexus) to enforce continuous integration, automated testing, and secure code delivery. Implement and maintain software quality logic gates and automated scans using SonarQube, Nexus IQ, and static/dynamic code analysis platforms. Collaborate with development teams to accelerate modern build-and-replace modernization strategies and cloud migration initiatives. Lead performance engineering strategies, system monitoring (AppDynamics), and environment optimizations across the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Streamline Authority to Operate (ATO) maintenance through continuous security checks and Risk Management Framework (RMF) automation.
Requirements
Clearance Requirement: Candidates must have an active Secret clearance at the time of application, and must be SCI eligible., Candidate must be a United States Citizen and present proof of Citizenship, if selected Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on software development experience. Demonstrated expertise in modern programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python). Proven experience with enterprise cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Proficiency with DevOps orchestration tools, including Jenkins and Git-based CI systems. Strong communication, organizational, and technical problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments. Experience delivering software using Agile, SAFe, or hybrid methodologies. Ability to mentor team members and to resolve complex technical challenges., Experience with containerization platforms (Red Hat OpenShift, Docker) and automation tools (Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform). Familiarity with legacy enterprise architectures (.NET, PowerBuilder, Oracle/SQL Server databases, Salesforce). Knowledge of automated continuous testing frameworks (ACCELQ) and performance/logging platforms (Splunk, AppDynamics). Prior experience working within federal IT environments.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $180,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
