Job description

We are seeking an experienced Varicent Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary client-facing lead, partnering with business, Sales Operations, Finance, and IT teams to deliver scalable Varicent SaaS solutions while leading global delivery teams., * Lead client engagements, requirements gathering, solution workshops, and roadmap planning.

  • Design, develop, and support end-to-end Varicent SaaS solutions, including data models, calculations, workflows, reports, dashboards, integrations, and security configurations.
  • Act as the Varicent SME, advising stakeholders on platform capabilities, best practices, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Drive compensation plan changes, territory and hierarchy updates, platform enhancements, and production support activities.
  • Lead offshore development teams, conduct design/code reviews, and mentor analysts and developers.
  • Manage project delivery, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
  • Oversee release management, testing, deployments, performance optimization, and platform health.
  • Define data governance, audit controls, SOX-compliant standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business and leadership teams to improve compensation processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Incentive Compensation Management (ICM).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Varicent platform, including implementation, configuration, administration, and support.
  • Expertise in Varicent Designer (data models, pipelines, calculations, symbols, workflows) and Varicent Studio (reports, dashboards, web forms).
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale Varicent implementations from requirements through go-live.
  • Strong SQL and relational database skills (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with ETL processes, API integrations, REST/SOAP services, and data migrations.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience leading global and offshore teams and managing stakeholder relationships., * Experience with multinational enterprise compensation systems.
  • Knowledge of Sales Performance Management (SPM), data governance, and SOX compliance.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled compensation and analytics solutions.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
