Windows Systems Adminstrator

SDA Solutions is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to support a high-visibility Department of Defense program in Arlington, Virginia. This position is responsible for administering, maintaining, and securing enterprise Windows environments while working closely with systems, network, and cybersecurity teams in a classified environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Windows Server infrastructure, VMware environments, Active Directory, and implementing security best practices across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Windows Server environments. Create, maintain, and implement technical documentation and standard operating procedures. Develop, implement, and monitor policies and standards related to the allocation and use of computing resources. Evaluate hardware and software solutions and recommend cost-effective technologies for implementation. Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain VMware environments. Manage Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and Local Security Policies. Install, configure, and maintain enterprise hardware and software. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks. Apply DISA STIGs, SCAP, and other security best practices to Windows systems. Support Remote Desktop Services and Windows Task Scheduler. Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to maintain system reliability and availability. Collaborate with network administrators and engineering teams to ensure secure and efficient system operations. Provide technical guidance and support to junior technical staff as needed.

Bachelor's degree and four (4) or more years of experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments. Additional education, training, or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Active TS/SCI security clearance is required. Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent). Ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph. Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining VMware environments. Experience supporting Remote Desktop Services. Experience with PowerShell scripting; Python experience is a plus. Experience implementing Windows security settings and DISA STIG requirements. Experience using Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP). Experience managing Group Policy Objects (GPO) and Local Security Policies. Experience with Windows Task Scheduler. Experience administering Active Directory. Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise hardware and software. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting DISA or other Department of Defense enterprise environments. Current TS/SCI with CI Polygraph. Experience integrating Network Management (NM) and Element Management (EM) systems with network monitoring, trouble ticketing, and security tools. Experience supporting enclave Ethernet switches, Storage Area Networks (SAN), and Network Attached Storage (NAS). Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles. Experience with BMC Remedy or a similar ticketing system. ITIL Foundation certification. Linux administration experience. Solaris administration experience.
