Requirements

Our partner is expanding their System Administration team and is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator/Cloud Engineer. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, innovative, cloud engineer to contribute to a team environment. The candidate will be part of a team that supports the cloud infrastructure for an enterprise environment. This position requires a broad knowledge of system administration, knowledge of automation technologies and scripting, knowledge of security and accreditation practices and procedures, and the ability to work with several enterprise resources and teams in the operation of an enterprise digitization infrastructure.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Demonstrated Experience:

  • Must have hands-on experience with AWS and Linux in a production environment.

  • patching and maintaining system's databases, to include RDS, MySQL, and Oracle

  • Troubleshooting and solving technical problems

  • Knowledge of Federated Identity, RBAC, authentication & authorization solution, etc.

  • Understanding of secure-cloud configuration, (e.g., CloudTrail, AWS Config), cloud-security technologies (e.g., VPC, Security Groups) and Access Control (IAM).

  • Configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.)

  • Experience with security, such as NGFW, WAF, SIEM, endpoint security.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT related field or equivalency in related work experience

  • Working and solving technical problems independently as a system administrator.

  • Experience using a scripting language.

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise workflow applications, to include installing, starting, and stopping background processes, analyzing log and event files, and patching and troubleshooting.

  • Creating and managing a virtual infrastructure, such as AWS, Azure, Hyper-V, or VMWare.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Demonstrated Experience:

  • Experience with an enterprise application development language, such as Python, Java, or C#, to include writing simple applications or modifying existing ones.
