Job description
- Document and address organization's information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition life cycle.
- Ensure that system(s) and architecture(s) are consistent with customer's cybersecurity architecture guidelines.
- Perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, and develop a security risk management plan.
- Define and document how the implementation of a new system or new interfaces between systems impacts the security posture of the current environment.
- Participate as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and/or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
- Assist systems designers and developers in the implementation of information security functionality to ensure compliance with appropriate security policy and enterprise solutions.
- Support the Government in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
- Identify overall security requirements for the proper handling of Government data.
- Perform system or network designs that encompass multiple enclaves, to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements.
You build IA into systems deployed to operational environments. You assist architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate secure functionality to ensure uniform application of our customer's security policy and enterprise solutions.
Requirements
Level 1 requires a BS degree and only two years of IT related experience (or a HS diploma plus six years), with Cybersecurity certification desired, but not required.. Level 4 requires the BS degree plus fourteen years of experience (or a HS diploma plus eighteen years), with certification required. And we need everything in between!
