Job description

  • POSITION SUMMARY: The Systems Administrator III in this position is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, enhancement, development and installation of the DNA compute, storage, databases, and backups. This position requires technical expertise, solid troubleshooting, and vendor management skills. The Systems Administrator III will participate in a daytime and rotational after-hours support schedule as needed and is expected to perform complex technical tasks within the designated role., · Manages and maintains the DNA application, infrastructure maintenance, Oracle database, application upgrades and data purges. · Designs innovative solutions within the environment using existing or new software and/or hardware, including automation capabilities. · Acts as second-level support to help monitor and troubleshoot the DNA functions, its network, database environments, and communications infrastructure. · Resolves customer issues, including through SQL scripting, and collaborates with Association staff to support application features. · Engages vendor(s) as required during system maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution. · Provides mentoring to team members as needed. · Provides on-call and backup support for existing systems and functions. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES · Keeps up with new and emerging technologies. · Reviews the environment and recommends enhancements to provide benefit to FPI (Financial Partners Inc) or its customers. · Communicates technical information clearly in both verbal and written form to technical and non-technical audiences. · Provides cross-functional assistance as needed to other operational areas of FPI. · Assists in troubleshooting DNA network problems and security issues. · Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, CS, or a related discipline and typically 6+ years of related technical experience; OR 14+ years of related technical experience. · Related technical certifications preferred. · Experience working with the technologies referenced in the Duties and Responsibilities section. · Knowledge of SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS, and IaaS solutions preferred. · Knowledge of Microsoft Server OS, Active Directory, and scripting languages (PowerShell, REST API,etc.) preferred. · Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Ability to report to work in person and to attend work-related functions/activities. · Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods. · Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 10 pounds occasionally. · Ability to occasionally travel as required. · Ability to type and utilize various software programs efficiently and operate general office equipment. · Ability to work in an office setting with moderate noise levels. · Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, frequent talking or hearing, occasional push/pull, stoop/kneel, bend/twist, and reach to retrieve or move items in a typical office environment. · Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed. · Hybrid or remote work arrangements o This role has been designated as a Hybrid role, which gives employees the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and working in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. o Please note that the Company retains the right to change a position's designation at any time. o Exceptions to the designated work arrangement may be made based on business needs · Ability to concentrate and focus on details when reviewing documents, analyzing data, and performing computer-based tasks. · Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. · Ability to problem-solve efficiently and make sound decisions. · Ability to manage job-related stress and interactions with clients, colleagues, or external parties. · Ability to communicate ideas clearly in both verbal and written form. · Ability to work with others in a collegial and collaborative manner This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
