Job description

As a Senior IT Product Management Analyst of Intelligent Process Automation & Mining, you will co-create and drive the vision for the capability. You will deliver key input to the product roadmap and backlog, ensure requirements and acceptance criteria (business, functional, non-functional) are incorporated, and lead release communication and stakeholder management.

This is a critical role in ensuring we deliver on the promise of Data & AI to digitally transform our business through Hyperautomation. Your peers are the technical platform architects and the Product Owners of the other capabilities. As a seasoned individual contributor, you will be the driver and subject-matter expert for Intelligent Process Automation and Process Mining, working independently under limited supervision of the principal product owner to shape the roadmap and deliverables, while coaching and reviewing the work of more junior specialists and partners.

The Data and AI team has responsibility over enterprise data products and assets across the company, as well as AI and all critical underpinning capabilities such as integrations, data & analytics platforms, governance, quality, recency, data interfaces, integration with external systems, and advanced analytics capabilities. The Hyperautomation team is a critical part of the Data & AI group.

The Hyperautomation team promotes the concept of using advanced technologies to automate as many business and functional processes as possible, anything from simple task automation to complex decision making.   • Gather, review, assess, and partner to drive new ideas, and projects through the global portfolio processes.
  • Ensure technologies add value and can scale Medtronic's use of automation and mining solutions across various businesses, regions, and functions.
  • Ensure solution and architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility.
  • Ensure information is protected in accordance with Medtronic's Information Protection Policies and Standards.
  • Coordinate delivery of projects and services to the enterprise, act as the primary contact for your capability's initiatives.
  • Research and create proof of value for related technology industry and market trends and determine their potential advantage and impact to Medtronic.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other specialists and partners within the capability.
  • Implement a continuous-improvement mindset and methodologies to increase platform value, quality, and stability.
  • Innovate and drive change management transforming the individual automation capabilities toward a synergistic solution and ensure enterprise re-use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience with an advanced degree

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Previous Medtronic experience is strongly preferred
  • Work experience in the Medical Device industry, or other regulated industry.
  • Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, certification preferred (e.g., CSPO, SAFe POPM).
  • Working familiarity with AI/ML concepts, including GenAI, agentic AI, and conversational AI, within process automation.
  • Strong technical acumen, decision making, and influence skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Able to work independently as well as cooperatively.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise automation & mining platforms (e.g., UiPath, Celonis).
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Microsoft Azure).
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise integration platforms (e.g., webMethods).
  • Very strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • Strong communication skills, including with employees, clients, senior management, and vendors.
  • Solid presentation skills, including the ability to translate data concepts and technical information into business terms (e.g., ability to explain complex technical solutions and architecture strategies to non-technical resources).
  • Strong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively and partner with employees, leaders, clients, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global, virtual organization.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$97,600.00 - $146,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
