EMC Test Engineer

EMC test engineer will responsible for the testing/simulating and validating of the EMC performance for various Cisco HW products.

-Will need to work with various cross functional teams to bring up and configuration of Cisco HW.

-Will work with EMC lab lead and various project teams and EMC design teams to plan prototype allocations, EMC test cases and EMC testing dates.

• will Configure Cisco hardware and software to exercise EUT (equipment under test) for EMC compliance testing.

A BSEE with some related experience or an ASEE with multiple years of EMC test experience or with significant EMC testing experience.

Experience with test and measurement equipment, including EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power amplifiers, and power meters.

Experience with IXIA traffic generators and wide band communication testers is highly preferred.

Knowledge of Ciso products or Experience with networking equipment is also highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of EMC Standards highly desirable.

Knowledge of Cisco products and tools.

Work independently or as a team to perform EMC compliance testing of different networking equipment such as switches, routers, servers, access points, video equipment, IP telephones, and security devices. - Responsible for writing Test Assessment Plan (TAP), defining EMC test cases and generating EMC test report using in-house report-generation tool. - Be able to follow EMC test procedures in accordance with worldwide regulatory standards including but not limited to EN/IEC 61000-4-x series, 47 CFR Part 15, ICES, CISPR 22, CISPR 24, CISPR 32, CISPR 35, VCCI, CNS 13438, KN 32, KN 35, EN 300 386, EN 55022, EN 55024, EN 55032, EN 55035 -Knowledge or will learn of various EMC standards including Cispr32, Cispr35, railway EN 50155/EN 50121-3-2/EN 50121-4, and NEBS GR-1089.
