Circle Cinema, Oklahoma's only nonprofit arthouse cinema, seeks an enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused professional to serve as Membership and Development Manager. This full-time position plays a vital role in cultivating and stewarding the cinema's membership community while supporting the organization's overall fundraising and audience development efforts. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Membership and Development Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administration, growth, and retention of Circle Cinema's membership program. The successful candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, database experience, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This individual serves as one of the primary points of contact for members and works collaboratively with staff to strengthen member engagement, increase earned and contributed revenue, and advance Circle Cinema's mission., Membership Administration
- Provide leadership and serve as the primary administrator and steward of Circle Cinema's membership program.
- Manage all day-to-day membership operations, including new memberships, renewals, upgrades, gift memberships, benefit fulfillment, acknowledgments, and membership correspondence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records in the organization's donor and membership database.
- Respond promptly and professionally to membership inquiries by phone, email, mail, and in person.
- Ensure timely processing of membership transactions and distribution of membership materials and benefits.
- Monitor membership data integrity and implement best practices for database management.
Membership Growth & Retention
- Develop and implement strategies to increase membership acquisition, retention, and renewal rates.
- Track membership revenue, renewal performance, and key membership metrics.
- Prepare regular reports analyzing membership trends, revenue, demographics, and participation.
- Develop and manage the annual membership budget in coordination with the Executive Director.
- Serve as an internal advocate for members by identifying opportunities to enhance the membership experience.
Member Engagement
- Plan, coordinate, and execute member-exclusive events, appreciation programs, advance screenings, and other activities designed to increase member loyalty and engagement.
- Collaborate with programming, marketing, and operations staff to develop meaningful member benefits and promotional initiatives.
- Assist with special events that support membership recruitment, donor cultivation, and audience development.
- Represent Circle Cinema professionally at member and community events.
Development Support
- Assist the Executive Director with fundraising and development initiatives as needed, including:
- Researching prospective individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
- Assisting with grant proposals, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Managing donor and prospect information within the database.
- Preparing donor acknowledgments and stewardship communications.
- Supporting donor cultivation activities and fundraising events.
- Assisting with campaign planning and special fundraising projects.
Collaboration & Organizational Support
- Work collaboratively with all Circle Cinema departments to support organizational goals.
- Coordinate with marketing staff to promote membership campaigns and benefits across multiple communication channels.
- Assist with special events, film festivals, fundraising activities, and other organizational initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the cinema.
- Some interaction with the Circle Cinema Board of Directors may be required.
- Manage Circle's volunteer program including the recruitment, training, and deployment of volunteers.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with members, donors, volunteers, and staff.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Initiative, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience working with donor, membership, or customer relationship management (CRM) databases preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding donor and organizational information.
- A positive, professional demeanor and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Passion for the arts, nonprofit organizations, and community engagement is highly desirable., * Minimum of two (2) years of experience in membership services, nonprofit administration, fundraising, customer service, or a related field.
- Experience with donor stewardship, membership programs, event coordination, or nonprofit development is preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered., * Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, marketing, arts administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in a nonprofit arts organization, performing arts center, or cultural institution.
- Experience with donor database management and fundraising software.
- Demonstrated success in customer relationship management, membership growth, or donor stewardship.
