Job description
The System Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and operational support of the organization's on-premises and cloud infrastructure. This role supports Windows and Linux operating systems, VMware environments, Active Directory services, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications while ensuring system availability, security compliance, and operational excellence. Relevant responsibilities align with existing Dealer Tire server administration functions.
As a Systems Administrator, your essential job functions will include the following:
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Configure Conditional Access, Single sign-on (SSO), Enterprise Apps
- Maintain AWS and Microsoft Azure resources. Troubleshoot cloud-based infrastructure and application issues.
- Manage VMware vSphere, virtual machines, monitor infrastructure health and resolve performance issues.
- Identify, assess, and remediate operating system and infrastructure vulnerabilities, Participate in vulnerability management and compliance meetings.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux Server and Windows operating systems, Perform system patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management, Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Manage Active Directory users, groups, organizational units, and Group Policies, Administer DNS, DHCP, DFS, and related infrastructure services.
- Support Kubernetes clusters running on-premises or in cloud environments, assist with deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of containerized workloads.
- Respond to and resolve incidents, service requests, and operational issues, document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and technical solutions.
- Coordinate with Network Engineers, Business Analyst, and Database Administrators to implement client/server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives
- Establish and adhere to company metrics for system uptime, problem response, and resolution.
- Interact closely with hardware and software vendors, leveraging the vendor as the next (higher) level of support in addition to license compliance matters.
- Develop and promote standard operating procedures (SOP's).
- Proactively recommend improvements to both Physical and Virtual infrastructures and processes to ensure systems are designed to support business requirements, reliability, and performance
- Analyze and determine hardware/software issues by applying a backup process or resolution such as operational discrepancies, job aborts, and connectivity issues. Interact with application teams to prepare schedules for nightly backups. Resolve issues and problems with backup solutions; directly work with outside support vendors to resolve hardware/software issues.
- Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance with business needs and industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Participates in 24x7 off hour/on call schedule on a rotating basis.
- Looks for innovative ways to use AI tools to streamline and automate processes.
- Other Duties as Assigned, * Must be able to install/remove rack mounted servers and PC's including peripheral equipment such as network switches, printers, etc.
- Work in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Participates in 24x7 off hour/on call schedule on a rotating basis.
- Lift and move computer devices up to 50 pounds.
- Travel as necessary, < 10%.
Drug Policy

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years working with Microsoft operating systems and applications, including Windows 2016 / 2019/ 2022/2025
- 3+ working with Linux operating systems and applications, including Red Hat 7, 8 and SUSE 15, 16.
- Minimum of 1 year experience supporting Citrix environment or similar equivalent.
- Understanding of Citrix or an equivalent product
- Understanding Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Experience with backup software in an 800+ server environment.
- Embraces new technology, automation, and AI tools
- Configure and troubleshoot network services at the operating-system level, including interface setup, routing, name resolution, and connectivity across Linux and Windows environments.
