Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. This role focuses on developing, testing, and optimizing printed circuit board (PCB) solutions. You will work closely with hardware engineers, software engineers, and product teams to deliver high-functioning electrical solutions for residential and power products., * Lead parts of new product development from concept validation through design for manufacturing of analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal electronic circuit designs for residential power systems.
- Contribute to sustaining efforts for existing product lines.
- Collaborate with teams to define electrical hardware requirements, specifications, and architecture.
- Define and conduct hardware functional, environmental, and lifecycle validation test plans to ensure reliability and performance.
- Contribute to product safety, EMC, and environmental compliance efforts.
- Participate in electrical hardware reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of product and development processes.
- Support hardware troubleshooting during product development and testing.
- Document electrical system design, architecture, and implementation details.
- Use standard electronics laboratory tools including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and DMM to analyze, debug, and document proper operation of electronic circuits and systems.
- Occasionally develop custom electrical equipment for specialized features or functions.
- Collaborate in developing electrical hardware development tasks, project timelines, and budgets.
- Mentor less experienced team members in electrical engineering design.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required, Master's Degree preferred.
- 6+ years of work experience
- Experience collaborating with or leading technical teams in developing electrical hardware.
- Proficiency with circuit capture and PCB design tools such as OrCad.
- Experience with wireless systems ideally including BLE, Wi-Fi, ISM, and LTE.
- Experience with electronic circuit board modeling and simulation techniques such as PSpice.
- Working knowledge of microcontroller, microprocessor, memory, ADC, and communications technologies.
- High level of motivation and ability to collaborate effectively in a team and independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with design for high volume manufacturing and end-of-line test systems.
- Experience with compliance for collocated radio designs with regulatory agencies such as FCC/IC, protocol-specific certifications, and international compliance specifications.
- Experience working with control systems used for power systems.
- Strong communication skills across diverse audiences.
- Experience contributing to C/C++ software for embedded systems during board bring-up and test.
- RF knowledge (not required).
- Experience with module integration, designing for compliance, UL certification/design standards, EMI/EMC testing awareness, and PCB layout exposure.
- Experience interfacing with engines/motor drivers and working primarily at the IC level.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $98900.00 - $125600.00/yr.
