Job description

  • Provides leadership in infrastructure services, including backup and storage, network management, core applications services, telecommunications, server/system administration, and datacenter operations. Coordinates the design and delivery of infrastructure services in an architecturally sound manner and collaborates with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to ensure the successful delivery of all aspects of the IT service portfolio.
  • Develops strategic plans and practices that support an integrated and progressive infrastructure environment to meet current and future business needs.
  • Determines and communicates policies and procedures necessary to carry out IT service delivery, including allocation of staff and resources.
  • Implements best practices for program management, infrastructure methodologies, service management processes, system integration, quality assurance, and operational support models.
  • Facilitates the gathering, monitoring and analysis of operational metrics, ensures the organization is properly measuring the most relevant information to best manage business operations and promotes opportunities for continual improvement.
  • Supervisory responsibility for datacenter operations, network and telecommunications, and enterprise applications teams and their subordinate staffs. Plans and leads staffing initiatives, including recruitment, supervision, evaluation and development. Ensures appropriate and qualified staffing levels at all times, including availability for 24/7 back-up and on-call.
  • Resolves issues for internal customers and subordinate teams and conducts appropriate follow-up.
  • Organizes, plans, budgets, and monitors multiple activities, people, processes, and resources in the day-to-day service delivery of department to ensure all action plans, goals, and objectives are completed in a timely manner, with high quality, and within acceptable financial parameters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT discipline preferred., * Minimum of 10 years' experience managing enterprise-level IT operations and services
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience defining and implementing information systems in a multi-hospital, multi-location, and/or multi-disciplinary environment
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing technical staff
  • Experience with engineering, installation and setup of servers in a large, complex environment, and installation, configuration, and functional testing of third-party products
  • Prior experience supporting both client-server and virtual desktop environments
  • Experience modeling as-is and to-be architectures based on business requirements

Knowledge of

  • Effective development and implementation of IT products and services
  • Desktop engineering, networking, service desk, and desktop support

  • Develop cooperative agreements and OLAs/SLAs with appropriate departments and external service partners
  • Skillfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and succeed in an environment of competing priorities

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Windows Server/Active Directory environments, virtualization (VDI), or similar technologies

Pay Range:$65.73 - $92.22 Develops strategic direction and planning, coordination, and supervision of resources and processes related to core technical infrastructure and applications. Responsible for oversight of infrastructure strategy, including enterprise backup and storage, telecommunications and network management, server/system administration, core application support, and datacenter operations.
