Job description
We are seeking a Logistics Product Software Developer to support logistics software, database systems, content management tools, CAD data workflows, and technical documentation applications for defense vehicle programs.
This role will work with an existing development/support team that maintains software used to produce Logistics Product Data, Logistics Support Analysis reports, and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical support, software/database, Teamcenter, VisMockup, NX/Creo, scripting, and documentation skills., * Support logistics software applications, databases, and content management systems.
- Assist with software development, documentation, technical support, application support, database administration, and user training.
- Analyze, design, develop, document, test, deploy, and support software applications.
- Troubleshoot user issues related to Teamcenter, CAD data, datasets, drawings, JT files, BOMs, and logistics product data.
- Train new and existing users on Teamcenter processes.
- Support Teamcenter UAT and production testing after upgrades.
- Assist with BOM creation, updates, and data management.
- Use VisMockup to merge JT files, create session files, capture snapshots, and resolve scaling/orientation issues.
- Support JT exports/downloads, STEP-to-JT conversions, and CAD-to-STEP conversions.
- Open and review CAD models in NX and Creo when needed to support JT data or CAD conversion issues.
- Document processes, software, source code, and support procedures.
- Work in a team environment to support new software development and improvements to existing applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
- Strong Teamcenter experience, including troubleshooting, user support, dataset/item searches, BOM support, and testing after upgrades.
- Strong VisMockup experience, including JT file merging, session file creation, snapshots, and STEP/JT support.
- Knowledge of NX and Creo CAD systems.
- Experience with Windows, Unix, and Linux environments.
- Ability to write scripts using tools such as Shell, Perl, Python, Visual Basic.NET, or Windows/Linux scripting.
- Object-oriented programming experience with Python, Java, C#, or C++.
- Database knowledge, including SQL and relational database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle.
- XML, DTD, XSD, XSL, or SGML experience is a plus.
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, IIS, ASP.NET, Adobe ExtendScript, Ghostscript, IBM Cognos, Oracle E-Business, or logistics product data software experience is a plus.
- Strong documentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
- Must be able to work onsite and remotely as required.
- Occasional overtime and short-term travel may be required.
Qualified candidates should have a strong mix of Teamcenter, VisMockup, NX/Creo, CAD data support, scripting, database, technical documentation, and user support experience.
