Job description

The IT Programmer Analyst II will collaborate directly with company team members to identify business needs and translate business requirements into software requirement specifications. This role will utilize programming, scripting, or database languages to produce efficient code. This role then performs coding, debugging, testing, configuration, and analysis to develop or modify application programs. This role may produce application documentation, including process and wireframing diagrams. This role is also responsible for assisting with support of system solutions (including ERP) that improve business efficiency and productivity as well as support business strategies and goals. This role will support management with project planning, risk assessment, and project tracking to deliver timely IT solutions within budget., o Collaborates with the IT Applications Manager, Systems Analysts, other Programmer Analysts, and technical vendors

o Provides status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues, and progress toward goals

o Consults with company team members and resolves variances/shortcomings between current business processes and technology

o Writes technical procedures and system documentation for applications including IT operation instructions, user guides, etc.

o Aids, advises, and trains company team members in the effective use of applications and information technology

o Supports complex or critical business processes/systems and may require design or integration of technical solutions that may cross multiple functions of the business

o Utilizes technology, data services and change management effectiveness skills to provide the best solution

o Analyzes data contained in the corporate database and identifies data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and recommend solutions

o Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

o Creates functional requirements and system designs for new development projects using the system development life cycle

o Develops, reviews, analyzes, and modifies systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support application systems

o Troubleshoots and resolves application functionally related issues and identifies modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements

o Successfully manages tasks utilizing best practices to meet deadlines

o Identifies opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes

o Consults with company team members and to rectify variances/shortcomings between current business processes and technology

o Participates in business short-term and long-term planning sessions to ensure understanding of business goals, direction, and business requirements

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another relevant degree from a four-year college or university and five years' experience

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Competent problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to work independently or with minimal direct supervision

· Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, independently, in a team environment, and in an on-call environment where priorities can change frequently

· Participate in SCRUM development, rapid response application support and configuration management

· Make use of wireframing and prototyping to deliver design concepts and basic functionality

· Proficient with established development tools, guidelines, and conventions including but not limited to C#, JavaScript, React, bootstrap, HTML, Netcore, Swashbuckle, and NLog

· Utilization of Microsoft Azure DevOps, GitHub (CoPilot), Atlassian Bitbucket or source code management software

· Knowledge in API / ETL / data integration is a plus

· Competent knowledge in database tools including but not limited to Microsoft SQL, Oracle, and MySQL and confidence in writing SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions

· Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 including SharePoint

· Able to write reports in SAP Crystal Reports, Microsoft Power BI, or equivalent is a plus

· Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications, Dassault DelmiaWorks is a plus, o Sedentary- exerting up to 10 lbs./ 4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

o While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to spend extended periods working on a computer keyboard

o Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus

· Mental requirements:

o Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

o Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

o Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public

o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

o Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

o Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

o Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
