Network Engineer

The selected candidate will be responsible for the ongoing operations, maintenance and continuous improvement of a program-dedicated wide area network (WAN). This network engineering professional will ensure that the Navy network and network systems are managed, controlled and compliant with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). This is a non-telecommuting position that requires you to be on-site and may include travel, off-shift work and occasional weekend activities.

DoD Secret clearance to start with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or higher) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

• Experience with Cisco networking equipment, operating system functions, and security hardening

• Ability to move, rack, stack and install physical equipment by lifting up to 30 lbs.

• US Citizenship required, no dual Citizenship Desired Skills:

• Top Secret clearance

• Experience with Cisco GETVPN

• Experience working with and troubleshooting of IGP routing protocols such as OSPF or EIGRP

• Experience working with L2 and L3 Multicast protocols

• Experience with MPLS L2VPNs and SDWAN

• Experience in applying DISA STIGs and resolving security vulnerabilities

• Fundamental understanding of the OSI model

• Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
