Job description
The selected candidate will be responsible for the ongoing operations, maintenance and continuous improvement of a program-dedicated wide area network (WAN). This network engineering professional will ensure that the Navy network and network systems are managed, controlled and compliant with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). If you are looking for a hands-on role with the flexibility to learn and apply a wide range of core technical capabilities, this position may be of interest to you.
This is a non-telecommuting position that requires you to be on-site and may include travel, off-shift work and occasional weekend activities.
Requirements
DoD Secret clearance to start with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance

DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or higher) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Experience with Cisco networking equipment, operating system functions, and security hardening

Ability to move, rack, stack and install physical equipment by lifting up to 30 lbs.

US Citizenship required, no dual Citizenship Desired Skills:

Top Secret clearance
-
Experience with Cisco GETVPN
-
Experience working with and troubleshooting of IGP routing protocols such as OSPF or EIGRP

Experience working with L2 and L3 Multicast protocols

Experience with MPLS L2VPNs and SDWAN

Experience in applying DISA STIGs and resolving security vulnerabilities

Fundamental understanding of the OSI model

Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Top Secret, Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
