Job description
In this role, you will support the day-to-day infrastructure operations for a portfolio of software products. Responsibilities include managing access requests, troubleshooting operational issues, supporting production releases, and performing ongoing patching and maintenance activities. You will work extensively within AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, Security Groups, and ECS Fargate, while using Terraform to provision and maintain cloud infrastructure following established patterns and standards. The role will also involve developing scripts and automation to streamline deployment and operational processes, partnering closely with engineering teams to ensure secure, stable, and efficient environments. Most work will be performed in a Linux-based ecosystem, with occasional support of Windows systems as needed.
Requirements
3-5 years of professional DevOps Engineering experience

Strong AWS experience, including EC2, Security Groups, ECS Fargate, and command-line administration

Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins

Hands-on Terraform experience for infrastructure provisioning, configuration updates, resource management, and security group administration

Strong Linux administration experience, preferably Amazon Linux, including troubleshooting, patching, maintenance, and deployment support

Scripting and automation experience using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and/or Packer

Experience leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and support spec-driven development practices

Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned tickets, and solve problems with minimal oversight

Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to status updates, risk identification, and escalation when needed - Windows server administration experience

Experience working vulnerability remediation tickets and FinOps initiatives, including cloud cost optimization and workload cleanup
