Job description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Group Operations Technology team. This hybrid role combines business analysis and hands-on development, enabling you to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions. You will work across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), partnering with cross-functional teams-including Business Analysts, Architects, and global engineering teams-to deliver modern, high-quality enterprise applications. This role also offers opportunities to contribute to modernization initiatives and leverage AI-enabled development practices to enhance productivity and innovation., * Translate business requirements into technical specifications, system designs, and user stories
- Develop and maintain applications using Java, REST APIs, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (PI Planning, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to deliver scalable solutions
- Analyze and troubleshoot APIs using tools such as Postman and SoapUI
- Support integration with enterprise systems and back-office platforms
- Perform unit testing and support integration testing efforts
- Provide production support, including issue resolution and root cause analysis
- Contribute to application modernization, cloud adoption, and innovation initiatives
- Participate in proof-of-concepts (POCs) and leverage AI tools to improve development efficiency
- Continuously build skills through training, certifications, and hands-on learning

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in software development or systems analysis
- Strong programming skills in Java, REST APIs, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL and NoSQL, Relational DB
- Experience with MVC architecture and multi-tier application design
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Exposure to cloud technologies (like AWS, AZURE)
- Perform quality assurance activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software
Preferred skills
(Candidates who do not possess all preferred qualifications should demonstrate a strong aptitude and willingness to develop these skills through training and professional development.)
- Experience with TIBCO Business Works, iProcess, or workflow automation tools
- Experience in performance testing and system tuning
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
- Domain experience in Insurance or Financial Services

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
