Generative AI Engineer

You'll be working as a Generative AI Engineer for a technology consultancy in Kortrijk, you'll design and develop intelligent AI solutions powered by large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and modern machine learning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready Generative AI and machine learning solutions.
• Build intelligent applications using large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agent frameworks.
• Develop AI-powered assistants, copilots, and workflow automation solutions for enterprise customers.
• Engineer scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured enterprise data.
• Integrate AI solutions with business applications, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Optimise AI applications for performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and clients to translate business requirements into AI-powered solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in Generative AI, foundation models, and AI engineering best practices.

• 2-8 years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning or AI applications in production environments.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or conversational AI.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, or AI agent frameworks is considered an advantage.
• Experience with cloud platforms, REST APIs, Docker, or containerised deployments is beneficial.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Llama, or other foundation models.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, or FAISS.
• Experience building enterprise AI assistants, chatbots, or workflow automation solutions.
• Exposure to MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud-native AI deployments.
