Job description
The company you'll be working in is a SaaS company based in Kortrijk that develops cutting-edge software solutions for customers across multiple industries. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms that power analytics, reporting, and AI-driven applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Build and optimise cloud-based data lakes, data warehouses, and modern data platforms.
- Integrate data from APIs, databases, SaaS applications, and streaming sources.
- Develop reliable and scalable data models to support analytics and business intelligence.
- Ensure data quality, monitoring, governance, and orchestration best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver data-driven features.
- Support AI and machine learning initiatives through robust data infrastructure.
- Contribute to cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure improvements.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Microsoft Fabric, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Apache Spark and modern data platform architectures.
- Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, and Kubernetes is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Fluent in English.
