Senior Infrastructure Architect

We are hiring for a client in the financial services industry seeking an experienced Senior Linux Technical Lead / System Architect to strengthen and mature its Linux platform operations.

This role combines hands-on Linux architecture and engineering expertise with technical leadership and operational excellence. You will define the architectural direction of the Linux platform, improve operational processes, drive automation, and mentor a team of engineers while ensuring a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure.

You will work closely with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Infrastructure, Security, Service Management, and Agile teams to design and implement enterprise-grade solutions that support critical business services., System Architecture & Solution Design

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient Linux platform architectures.
• Build and evolve architectural solutions that support new business capabilities.
• Define the architectural roadmap and technical enablers for future platform evolution.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Agile teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in solution planning, architecture definition, and evaluation of alternative designs.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to the Linux platform team.
• Establish best practices for Linux infrastructure, security, automation, and lifecycle management.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex production issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and ensure permanent resolution of critical incidents.

Operational Excellence

• Improve operational maturity across the Linux platform environment.
• Drive improvements in incident, problem, change, capacity, and availability management.
• Define operational KPIs and continuously improve service quality and reliability.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge repositories.
• Promote standardized, process-driven ways of working.

Automation & DevOps

• Improve CI/CD and build & release processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate operational tasks using modern tooling.
• Increase platform stability through Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Support continuous delivery by defining architecture and design standards.

Team Coaching & Collaboration

• Mentor Linux engineers and promote technical excellence.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for internal stakeholders.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in System Architecture or Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineering.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise Linux infrastructure.
• Strong experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience leading technical teams and driving operational improvements.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, security, and platform engineering.
