Job description

Our client, a renowned healthcare Insurance provider across Belgium. We are looking for an IT Project Manager (Security/Infrastructure) to lead and deliver IT initiatives across the project roadmap, while providing focused support on key IT Security projects of e.g., IAM, PAM.

The role goes beyond coordination and includes end-to-end project ownership, stakeholder management, and delivery accountability, while contributing to security-related programs where needed. He/she is able to work closely with IT and business colleagues in the various involved teams and will focus on the acceptation of the project results by every stakeholder.

Overall objectives

  • Manages the IT projects, in line with our IT strategy, architectural & security guidelines and policies.
  • Successful, qualitative and secure delivery of project scope within agreed timing and budget.
  • Successful planning and execution of the assigned projects with the following project management controls: gate documents, nonfunctional business requirements, project estimations, monthly project status updates, project schedules, time tracking, (SteerCo) presentations, (SteerCo) meeting minutes, action logs, risk logs… use of toolset & templates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT projects (planning, execution, monitoring, and closure).
  • Ensure feasibility of project objectives and alignment with IT strategy, roadmap, and dependencies.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with business goals Structure and manage projects in clearly defined phases.
  • Collect and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Align projects with architectural guidelines and security requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including: Resource planning and allocation , Budget forecasting and tracking,Risk, issue, and dependency management.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage risks, interdependencies, and issues.
  • Facilitate decision-making and manage escalations.
  • Coordinate and manage internal teams, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Negotiate effectively and ensure alignment across business, IT, and partners.
  • Apply appropriate governance and project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid, PRINCE2)
  • Ensure adherence to change control processes and project governance standards
  • Maintain and update project artefacts (project plans, RAID logs, RACI matrices, status reports, documentation)
  • Define and execute communication plans
  • Provide clear, structured, and regular reporting to stakeholders, senior management, and governance bodies
  • Organise and document meetings, including minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Monitor and control project progress to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and achievement of expected project outcomes
  • Support project portfolio governance ; Advise on prioritization and re-prioritization ; Contribute to governance improvements and best practices .
  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement of project management practices.
  • Propose, document, and validate improvements in project management and governance.
  • Ensure smooth transition from project delivery to operational mode

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Project Management roles.
  • Proven experience leading and monitoring multiple concurrent IT projects end-to-end.
  • Strong experience in IT security and infrastructure projects.
  • Solid knowledge of project management methodologies: PRINCE2 (preferred) Agile/Scrum Waterfall / hybrid approaches.
  • Strong capabilities in: Project planning and execution, Resource and budget management Risk, issue, and dependency management
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project Online, Jira, Confluence).
