Job description
Tomorrow University is the university for those who want to build a more sustainable, equitable future. As part of our platform team, you'll work with a group of engineers and product builders who care deeply about learning, impact, and collaboration. We're looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who can own features end-to-end and help us shape AI-powered learning experiences with practical, reliable LLM applications., You will work across our stack, from the Next.js frontend to backend services, APIs, and deployment workflows. You'll join a small, cross-functional team that optimizes for ownership, trust, and high-quality collaboration over heavy processes. In addition to shipping core product features, you will help design and implement LLM-powered functionality that supports learners and educators in meaningful, safe, and pedagogically sound ways - so that more people can access high-quality, flexible education globally.
We work remotely with regular opportunities to travel and meet as a team, balancing flexibility with strong collaboration rituals.
What you'll do
- Build and iterate on full-stack features for our learning platform, directly shaping how learners experience flexible, future-proof education.
- Develop and maintain our Next.js application and related frontend components.
- Implement and improve backend services, APIs, and data flows using MongoDB.
- Design, test, and iterate on prompts, workflows, and guardrails for AI features to integrate LLMs into product experiences in a robust, maintainable way.Collaborate with product, design, QA, engineering, and academic stakeholders in a low-ego environment that values trust, ownership, and clear communication, contributing to a team culture where people enjoy working together.
Requirements
- Solid experience as a full-stack engineer working on production web applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Next.js and TypeScript.
- Practical experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
- Experience building or shipping features that use LLMs, or strong practical exposure to prompt engineering, workflow orchestration, or RAG.
- A product mindset: you care about user experience, reliability, and impact, not just models. Curiosity for education, AI safety, and working in a mission-driven environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS and serverless environments such as AWS Lambda.
- Familiarity with evaluation frameworks, structured outputs, and tool-calling.
- Background in edtech or regulated environments.
- Interest in deployment, monitoring, and operational practices.
