As a Vice President in Preqin's Business Development teamyou will play a pivotal role in accelerating our growth across Germany, Austria, German-speaking Switzerland and Eastern Europe. We are looking for a commercially driven, relationship-oriented professional who is excited to build momentum, open doors, and close meaningful partnerships.
In this role, we trust you to make an immediate impact - generating new subscription revenue, building a strong and sustainable pipeline, and expanding existing client relationships.
You will be at the forefront of our go-to-market efforts in DACH region and Eastern Europe, driving demand through localized events, targeted outreach, and strategic lead generation. This is a highly visible role with real ownership, autonomy, and opportunity to shape how we grow in one of our most important markets
Key responsibilities:

Own the full sales lifecycle for Preqin solutions, from prospecting and initial engagement through to negotiation and close, building strong relationships with senior decision-makers and delivering consultative, value-driven solutions.

Drive new business growth by identifying, developing, and converting opportunities across target accounts, while also expanding relationships within existing clients through strategic account development.

Establish and maintain strong governance frameworks with senior stakeholders, business leaders, and key decision-makers to ensure long-term client success and alignment.

Develop a deep understanding of clients' strategic objectives, investment processes, and analytical workflows, positioning Preqin's solutions to support their business goals.

Effectively communicate the value of Preqin's products and capabilities through impactful presentations, product demonstrations, proposals, and commercial discussions, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the buying journey, both virtually and in person.

Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities in partnership with Client Engagement teams, contributing to revenue growth and client retention objectives.

Collaborate closely with Aladdin and BlackRock stakeholders to coordinate client coverage, develop joint commercial opportunities, and maximize value for shared clients.

Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, accurately forecast sales performance, and consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets.

Represent Preqin at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, strengthening market presence and expanding professional networks within the private markets ecosystem.
Requirements

Native-levelGerman and professional English proficiencyrequired; additional European language skills are a plus

5+ years of sales experience in a sales and/or account management role within financial services, alternative investments, or B2B SaaS sales

Demonstrable success and a record of hitting quota and sales target.

Negotiation skills as it relates to upsells and cross-selling.

Working knowledge of the financial market data space, alternative assets, and financial services industries

Robust interpersonal skills and strong professional acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable liaising with both BlackRock's clients and colleagues at all levels.

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with a thirst and aptitude for problem solving and willingness to go the deliver positive outcomes

Benefits & conditions
The salary range for Germany is 105000 - 157500 EUR
Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
