Job description

As a Test Chapter Leader / Test Manager, you will lead and develop a chapter of Software Test Engineers by providing technical leadership, supporting the professional growth of your team members, establishing testing strategies, standards, and best practices, and fostering collaboration across Agile Squads.

In addition, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of verification and validation activities throughout the software development lifecycle, working closely with Software Engineers, Solution Leaders, Affiliates and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical software.

You will contribute to product delivery within a multidisciplinary Squad by defining test strategies, coordinating testing activities, managing quality risks, supporting release readiness, and collaborating closely with Software Engineers, Solution Leaders, Affiliates, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical software. This role offers the opportunity to combine technical leadership, quality ownership, and people management while contributing to one of Werfen's strategic digital solutions.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Inspire and grow a team of high-performing employees through peer coaching and mentoring.
  • Participate in solving complex problems that require the highest competency level as an expert or organizer of the necessary consultations with other experts.
  • Advocate and advance chapter standards and best practices in collaboration with another chapter leads and chapters.
  • Hands-on contributor in his/her squad to all aspects of the product delivery cycle, according to the Job Description from the Technological Track.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and quality management processes.
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies, automation capabilities, and quality metrics., MODULAB is Werfen's strategic Laboratory Information System platform, designed to support laboratories worldwide through modern and innovative clinical software solutions.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience leading/managing software testing activities within Agile software development teams.
  • Previous people management or technical leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of software verification and validation methodologies.
  • Experience with defect management and test management tools.
  • Experience working within regulated industries such as Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Healthcare, or other quality regulated environments is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, continuous integration, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
