Job description
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our growing team in Manchester. What You'll Do
- Provide first-line and second-line IT support to end users via phone, email, remote support, and ticketing systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, network, and system issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and business applications.
- Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and other business systems.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
- Record, update, and maintain accurate service tickets and technical documentation.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior technical teams when required.
- Assist with IT equipment setup, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve service delivery and technical processes.
- Follow IT security, data protection, and company procedures.
- Deliver professional and customer-focused technical support.
Requirements
- Previous experience in IT support, technical support, help desk, service desk, customer service, or a related role is beneficial but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, networking, and common business applications is advantageous.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable learning new technologies and systems.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Relevant IT qualifications or certifications are welcomed but not required.
