Job description
We're looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Head of Data (Analytics & Data Science) to lead and grow our data capability at a pivotal stage in our transformation journey.
This is a high-profile leadership opportunity where you'll shape how data drives decision-making across the organisation, influence strategic priorities, and develop a talented team spanning data science, analytics and business intelligence. You'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on expertise, helping create innovative, data-driven solutions that deliver measurable business value.

What you'll be doing:

Lead, develop and inspire a team of analysts and data scientists, fostering a high-performance culture.

Identify opportunities to drive efficiencies, performance improvements and strategic change through data.

Shape and expand our Data Science and AI capability, developing roadmaps and delivering measurable outcomes.

Work closely with data engineering and business stakeholders to create and maintain a trusted, single version of the truth.

Influence both data strategy and wider business strategy, ensuring the right skills, tools and resources are in place for future success.

Support the delivery of high-quality analytics, insights and data products that create tangible business value.

Communicate complex findings clearly and persuasively to senior leaders, executives and board-level stakeholders.
Requirements

Proven experience leading and developing data teams across at least two of the following areas: reporting, analytics and data science.

Strong track record of identifying business opportunities and delivering value through data-driven initiatives.

Hands-on technical expertise in SQL and working with large, complex datasets.

Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, statistics and/or machine learning.

Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.

A proactive, can-do attitude, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Degree-level education in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related discipline.
Desirable

Experience within enforcement, compliance or other regulated industries.

Knowledge of operational performance metrics and case management environments
