Job description

We're looking for a Business Analyst to help shape the future of our D365 ERP platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in some of AO's most important business transformation initiatives, helping us improve how we work across Finance and Warehouse Management while delivering solutions that make a real difference to our colleagues and customers.

You'll be at the centre of the action, working closely with stakeholders, delivery teams and third-party partners to understand challenges, uncover opportunities, and translate business needs into practical solutions. Whether you're supporting day-to-day ERP improvements or contributing to the rollout of our D365 WMS (Warehouse Management System) programme, you'll help ensure we're delivering value at every step.

This isn't a role where requirements are simply handed to you; you'll be asking questions, challenging assumptions, and helping teams get to the root of what really matters. If you enjoy solving problems, simplifying complexity, and working with people across different parts of the business, you'll fit right in at AO. You'll work closely with teams across both sites, so occasional travel between our Bolton and Crewe locations will be required.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

You'll be working across both business-as-usual activity and exciting transformation projects, helping us continually improve our D365 ERP landscape. You'll spend time engaging with stakeholders to understand their processes, challenges, and goals, running workshops and conversations that uncover valuable insights and drive better outcomes. You'll translate those discussions into clear requirements, user stories and functional specifications that delivery teams can confidently build against.

A big part of your role will involve mapping and analysing business processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, remove pain points and create simpler ways of working. You'll work closely with developers, functional consultants and implementation partners to ensure solutions deliver business value and meet the needs of our teams.

As we continue our D365 WMS journey, you'll support the analysis, design and rollout of new capabilities, helping to ensure smooth delivery while balancing the ongoing needs of our ERP platform. You'll also provide support across smaller enhancements, change requests and issue resolution activities, helping prioritise incoming demand and ensuring the right work gets delivered at the right time.

Alongside this, you'll be an active part of our Agile delivery environment, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement sessions, stand-ups, retrospectives and 3 Amigos workshops. You'll help identify risks, dependencies and potential impacts early, allowing teams to make informed decisions and deliver with confidence., How do you like to describe your sexual identity or sexual orientation? Do you identify as a person with a disability or are you a person with accessibility needs? How would you describe your Neurodiversity?

Great! Do you require any reasonable adjustments if we were to invite you to an interview?
