Job description
Responsible for developing procedures in support of wide and local area networks and services throughout the hospital and its affiliates. Provides second level support to network administrators and other technicians., * Documents and submits required information and data in a timely fashion.
- Clearly and accurately documents designated processes, policies, products, service offerings, etc.
- Ensures that documentation is tailored to expected readers / users.
- Uses correct terminology.
- Conforms to required style and format.
- Demonstrates technical skill in using equipment appropriate for role.
- Understands equipment operation.
- Maintains equipment in working order.
- Troubleshoots equipment problems.
- Uses technology to increase productivity.
- Adapts to new technology.
- Provides technical support, training, and assistance to other support personnel.
- Provides second level network support to other technicians.
- Develops baselines for network and procedures for backup and security.
- Develops procedures and standards for maintaining user accounts.
- Installs and configures new hardware and software in conjunction with vendors and other Information Systems personnel.
- Reviews and recommends security, anti virus and diagnostic tools for adoption.
- Maintains records of network equipment and software configurations.
Additional Duties
- Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
- Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains current Knowledge in present areas of responsibility to include any specialty certification requirements (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).
- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
- Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age-specific customer service skills.
- Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Information Systems related discipline, in lieu of degree will accept CISSP Certification Required, * 1 years Experience in Network Administration specifically with Active Directory Preferred
- 1 years Experience with Network applications such as Systems Management Server (SMS) and VMWare Server, client software such as Microsoft Outlook and end user application software such as Microsoft Office Preferred
- 1 years Experience in Network operating systems especially Microsoft Active Directory, as well in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and DOS Preferred
- 1 years Experience with Security and anti virus techniques Preferred
- 1 years Experience with Enterprise class wireless network infrastructure Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional Preferred
- Microsoft Certified Security Operations Analyst Associate Preferred
