Job description

Position Description: IBS Software Americas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining highly scalable data integration and data pipeline platforms that power our website and support various business requirements. Work in an agile environment with a global team of professionals to deliver efficient, high-performance solutions. Provide solution design and application design for modules or components for data platforms. Participate in technical implementation supporting architectural decisions. Support architectural planning including capacity, deployment, and interface design. Understand business and technology details that are essential for application development. Participate in client workshops on product architecture and design. Design, build, and maintain scalable, low-latency, and high-availability data integration platforms. Develop highly performant data pipeline platforms that support client's website. Write reusable, testable, and efficient code while working independently. Drive evolution of client's data platform and API first technology stack. Conduct code reviews with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability. Contribute to evolving internal coding standards and best practices. Improve the quality of code that contribute towards business growth. Participate in on-call rotation and incident management process. Conduct technical workshops and discussions with internal clients and stakeholders to adapt industry best practices. Understand project goals and provide recommendations aligned with business needs. Define priorities and assist in troubleshooting and issue resolution. Take ownership of assigned projects and consistently meet project deadlines. Support project leaders in identifying and mitigating risks early. Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving. Identify challenges and issues early to save time and cost. Collaborate with teams across different time zones to gather requirements and architect solutions. Ensure alignment on technical implementation and delivery timelines. Share domain and industry knowledge between cross-functional teams and serve as a guide to others by sharing as well as helping junior associates in their duties. Manage relationships with customers and support project leaders by having regular discussions with stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals. The position is based in Atlanta, GA, and various unanticipated locations.

Requirements

Position Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related, plus 7 years of work experience in IT, Computer Science, Travel, Transportation, or Logistics industry. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1) Programming & Backend Development: Experience with Kotlin and Java (1.8+) to build scalable enterprise applications using Spring Boot, GRPC, REST APIs, or microservices architecture; (2) Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps: Experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, and VPC, in order to setup CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins for automated deployments; (3) Data Streaming & Messaging Systems: Experience with implementing data pipelines and streaming platforms using Kafka or any other messaging tools; (4) Search Technologies & NoSQL Databases: Experience with NoSQL databases including DynamoDB and Cassandra, and search technologies including ElasticSearch and cloudbased search solutions; (5) Monitoring & Observability: Experience using APM tools such as Splunk and Datadog for monitoring and maintaining production system health; and (6) Agile Project & Workflow Management: Experience with configuring Jira workflows, managing sprints, and organizing agile boards to support iterative development processes.
