Software Engineer III

As a Software Engineer III at Walmart, you will lead the design and development of scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. The team delivers scalable, innovative solutions enhancing the shopping experience from selection to checkout, integrating AI-driven recommendations and omnichannel features. Collaborating with experienced engineers, team members engage in continuous learning and technical growth within a dynamic environment. Their work directly advances Walmart's business goals and customer satisfaction by ensuring seamless, efficient commerce experiences through robust platform design and development. What you'll do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-level design and technical solutions for projects.
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-quality software components and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and effective action plans.
• Lead small engineering groups by providing guidance, documentation, and mentorship.
• Implement automation scripts to support continuous integration and delivery processes.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and quality requirements.
• Monitor application performance and participate in defect management and regression testing.
• Support business needs by evaluating technical feasibility and recommending solutions.

• 4+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in Android development Kotlin
• Experience developing and testing Serverside APIs for mobile and web clients using Node.js, Java, Go, etc. GraphQL APIs using Apollo is a plus.
• Work with Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow/LiveData, MVVM & MVI architectures, Retrofit, GraphQL
• Experience with Android framework components and their lifecycles; strong knowledge of multithreading, networking performance tuning.
• Experience with Android SDKs, Jetpack libraries, and lifecycle-aware architecture.
• Familiarity with public cloud technologies such as Azure
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, translating requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
