Job description

  • Provide technical guidance in aircraft maintenance and inspection techniques and procedures according to technical manuals, work standards, and operational policies
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of aircraft
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all aircraft maintenance records, reports, and forms to ensure on-time RTS
  • Ensure that all maintenance is performed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, Operator/Air Carrier Manuals, and safe standard practices
  • Fosters an atmosphere of continuous improvement regarding aircraft maintenance, safe practices, and process improvement
  • Assist with the development and writing of revisions to the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Bulletins
  • Assure that procedures used in procurement and reception of aircraft parts will guard against "unapproved" parts from entering the parts system and ensure that any such parts are detected before their use.
  • Assist the Chief Inspector with maintaining employee training, vendor audits, and tool calibration requirements

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in Part 145 corporate aircraft maintenance required.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license required
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Experience in working directly with FAA Inspectors
  • Above average written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
  • Familiarity with Gulfstream (G200, GIV, GV, G550, G650), Cessna 750, Challenger 300/600 series, Global Express and Embraer 135/145 series aircraft is preferred
  • Inspection Authorization is a plus
