Job description
The HRIS Assistant supports, and is responsible for incorporating into job performance, the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.
The HRIS Assistant duties focus on maintaining HR data integrity, supporting HR systems and assisting employees and leaders with HRIS related needs. Will serve as a bridge between HR, IT, Payroll and employees, ensuring a seamless onboarding, accurate record-keeping and system compliance. Assist with HR compliance processes and audit electronic personnel files.
Example of Essential Functions:
- Maintaining accurate employee records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Perform routine HRIS data audits to identify and correct discrepancies, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conducts monthly audits and verifications of required employee licenses, certifications, registrations and credentials for positions to ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Monthly review and uploading of all orientation documents for new employees.
- Maintains and enters all contractors in HRIS system.
- Provides first-level support to employees and managers regarding HRIS functionality, employee self-services and system related inquiries.
- Reviews and monitors employee relation log and scans appropriate documents into HRIS system.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of employee information and comply with all applicable privacy and regulations and organization polices.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- PC proficiency and experience with MS products, i.e. work processing, spreadsheet and database management software
- Attention to detail with high level of organizational skills
- Ability to complete tasks with frequent interruptions and variable structure
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse population
- Ability to understand customer needs in a healthcare climate and deliver optimum customer service
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Working knowledge of office equipment to include facsimile machine, multi-line telephone system, photocopy machine
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required:
- High School graduate with some college or formal secretarial training preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience with direct customer contact required and one year of HR experience strongly preferred.

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.
Hourly range: $18.34 - $25.60
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
