Requirements

Based on the discussion, candidates with a Controls Software Engineering background focused primarily on PLC programming may be relevant only if they also possess strong hands-on electrical hardware experience. The ideal candidate should have the following experience:

  • Looking for a pure Electrical Engineer with strong hardware and system integration expertise
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • PLC programming and control systems.
  • Hardware troubleshooting and independent debugging.
  • Power distribution systems.
  • Wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and cable routing.
  • Motor control circuitry and motor integration (mandatory).
  • Firmware exposure and signal-level debugging.
  • Circuit boards, control boards, and ADC circuits.
  • Experience integrating multiple machines/systems by working with signals, interfaces, and control system boards.
  • Ability to assemble complete systems, perform basic system-level testing, and troubleshoot electrical issues independently.
  • Experience with robotic systems, especially involving movement of materials from one point to another using motors and control systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical design diagrams and system-level debugging is highly preferred

Relevant Industry Background:

  • Medical Devices
  • Warehouse Automation
  • Semiconductor

Overall Clarification Needed: The requirement appears to lean more toward a Hardware/Electrical Engineer rather than a software-focused controls engineer. Candidates should have practical experience in electrical hardware, system integration, motor control, and troubleshooting, with PLC programming serving as a complementary skill rather than the primary focus. This version should make it much easier for recruiters to understand the profile requirements and screen candidates accordingly.
