Operations Management Data Entry, Purchasing Mathematics Warehousing Wholesaling Procurement Coordinating, The Warehouse Inventory Specialist manages purchasing activities, maintains accurate inventory records, and supports warehouse operations to ensure products are sourced, received, and distributed efficiently. This role works closely with suppliers, monitors costs and pricing, and uses ERP and Microsoft Office tools to keep inventory and item data up to date. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with occasional Saturday work as needed., * Determine and develop appropriate sources of supply and maintain cooperative working relationships with suppliers to stay current with trends, products, and services.
- Prepare and process purchasing orders, ensuring all required business documentation is obtained to validate order information.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained and oversee proper distribution of products within the warehouse.
- Identify discrepancies between physical inventory and inventory records, and initiate necessary adjustments or corrections.
- Monitor incoming products for cost fluctuations and perform daily cost updates and changes as needed.
- Evaluate freight factors to ensure effective and cost-efficient freight expenses.
- Study market and industry trends to establish new wholesale prices and adjust pricing strategies.
- Maintain item and supplier files with up-to-date cost, price, and related information in relevant systems and databases.
- Support warehouse-related duties to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit, including resolving receiving discrepancies and managing slot labels.
- Perform data entry and inventory control tasks using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address inventory, purchasing, and distribution issues in a timely manner.
- Travel occasionally to vendors or customers when required to support purchasing and inventory activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and inventory operations., This opportunity offers a stable schedule, clear responsibilities, and the chance to build foundational experience in inventory management, purchasing, and ERP systems. Requirements

- 0-1 years of experience in inventory, procurement, purchasing, or a related business environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, and basic analysis.
- Basic math skills to calculate costs, prices, and inventory quantities.
- Ability to work with ERP or inventory management systems for item and supplier data maintenance.
- General business knowledge and understanding of purchasing and inventory processes.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders, files, and inventory tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and warehouse staff.
- Capability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and receiving issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory control software is desirable.
- Exposure to purchasing, buyer activities, or procurement processes is preferred.
- Office experience, including working with databases and Microsoft applications, is a plus.
- Experience in data entry and inventory management within a warehouse or distribution environment is beneficial.
- Ability to study market or industry trends and contribute to pricing decisions.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to vendors or customers when needed.
