Job description
PG&E is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to lead enterprise-scale data platform initiatives and deliver data-driven solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in modern data platforms such as Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, and Ataccama, along with strong leadership capabilities in managing cross-functional technical teams. This role involves overseeing complex technology implementations, enabling data governance, and driving scalable data engineering practices in a highly regulated utility environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise data platform implementations.
- Manage projects involving Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, Ataccama, and cloud-based data ecosystems.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Oversee the design and implementation of ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration frameworks.
- Drive data governance initiatives including MDM, metadata management, data quality, and lineage.
- Ensure scalable and secure data warehouse and lakehouse architectures.
- Lead cross-functional teams using Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies.
- Utilize tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps for project tracking and delivery management.
- Support AI/ML enablement initiatives leveraging enterprise data platforms.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular status updates to leadership and drive continuous process improvements.

- Strong understanding of Data Engineering, Data Governance, and Data Management principles.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as Utilities, Energy, Healthcare, or Financial Services preferred.
- PMP, PgMP, Scrum Master, or SAFe certifications are a plus.
