Job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Financial Analyst to support a large enterprise technology organization with a strong focus on technology portfolio management, vendor relationships, procurement, financial planning, and strategic technology investments. This highly visible position will partner closely with IT leadership and cross-functional technology teams to manage budgets, forecasts, vendor spend, contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), purchase orders, and overall technology investment planning., The ideal candidate will have experience supporting enterprise IT organizations and a strong understanding of how technology portfolios, vendor relationships, procurement activities, and strategic investments are managed. This role is well suited for someone with a background in IT Portfolio Management, Technology Business Operations, IT PMO, Technology Finance, Vendor Management Office (VMO), Technology Procurement, IT Governance, or IT Portfolio/Program Financial Management., * Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning across enterprise IT portfolios and technology initiatives.

  • Partner with IT Directors, Infrastructure teams, Application Development teams, PMOs, Procurement, Finance, and external technology vendors.
  • Manage and report on technology vendor spend, contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), purchase orders, invoices, and financial commitments.
  • Provide governance and oversight of vendor relationships, including SOW management, contract tracking, procurement processes, and invoice validation.
  • Support strategic technology investment planning and provide financial analysis to help IT leadership make informed investment decisions.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio reporting, financial models, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
  • Analyze actuals, budgets, forecasts, variances, and financial trends across technology portfolios.
  • Assist with the financial management of enterprise software, cloud services, infrastructure, consulting services, managed services, and other technology investments.
  • Identify financial risks, opportunities, and cost optimization strategies across IT programs and vendor portfolios.
  • Ensure alignment between technology roadmaps, operational plans, procurement activities, and financial objectives.
  • Prepare executive reporting and provide clear insights into technology spend, portfolio performance, vendor commitments, and investment priorities.
  • Support ongoing improvements to IT financial processes, reporting, governance, and portfolio management practices.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting enterprise IT organizations in a financial, portfolio management, business operations, PMO, governance, procurement, or vendor management capacity.
  • Strong understanding of technology vendor management, SOW governance, procurement, portfolio reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and technology investment planning.
  • Demonstrated experience working with vendor contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), purchase orders, and invoice validation.
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills with the ability to analyze technology budgets, forecasts, actuals, and variances.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, reporting, and complex spreadsheets.
  • Experience partnering with senior IT leaders, including IT Directors and technology management teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial and technology information into clear executive-level reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across complex technology portfolios.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise software, cloud, infrastructure, consulting services, managed services, and technology vendors.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: IT Portfolio Management, Technology Business Operations, IT PMO, Technology Finance, Vendor Management Office (VMO), Technology Procurement, or IT Governance.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with IT portfolio or program financial management.
  • Experience supporting large-scale technology organizations and complex vendor ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with enterprise technology procurement, contract lifecycle management, and vendor governance processes.
