Job description
- Install, route, and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling.
- Install network racks, cabinets, patch panels, cable management, and related hardware.
- Mount and secure network equipment according to project drawings and manufacturer specifications.
- Label, document, and test installed cabling.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and installation issues when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Represent MSI professionally while working at customer locations.
- Travel to project sites throughout the Atlanta metro area as required.
Requirements
Micjorta Systems Integrated (MSI) is growing our enterprise network deployment team in the Washington DC metro area, to include Maryland and Virginia (DMV). We're looking for technicians who take pride in doing the job right the first time and who enjoy working as part of a professional installation team.
Our work includes installing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure for commercial customers. If you're the type of technician who pays attention to detail, shows up prepared, and enjoys seeing a clean, organized installation at the end of the day, we'd like to hear from you., * Experience with structured cabling or enterprise network installations.
- Ability to read basic floor plans and installation drawings.
- Experience terminating copper and fiber cabling is preferred.
- Familiarity with patch panels, network racks, cable pathways, and equipment installation.
- Ability to use common hand tools, drills, ladders, and testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders when needed., * Experience with commercial network deployments.
- BICSI certification is a plus but not required.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
- Experience using cable certification equipment such as Fluke testers is a plus.
