Job description

The Site Reliability Engineer plays a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure that supports mission-critical business applications and digital experiences. This role combines infrastructure engineering, cloud operations, automation, and reliability best practices to ensure optimal platform performance and resilience.

Working closely with IT, eCommerce, Marketing, and Product teams, you will drive infrastructure strategy, support high-traffic customer-facing platforms, and improve operational excellence through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Success in this role requires strong cloud and DevOps expertise, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and the ability to influence technical decisions across a complex technology landscape., * Design, build, and support highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure environments

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment activities
  • Enable and enhance CI/CD capabilities across multiple applications and platforms
  • Support and optimize customer-facing digital platforms, ensuring reliability during peak traffic events and critical business periods
  • Manage content delivery networks (CDNs), DNS services, and SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, implementing proactive measures to improve operational resilience
  • Reduce Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) through automation, observability, incident response improvements, and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure solutions with business and technical objectives
  • Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
  • 6+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, cloud engineering, or related disciplines
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and supporting modern software delivery practices
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience administering Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform environments
  • Hands-on experience with Akamai CDN and content delivery optimization
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, networking concepts, and web protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, and SSL/TLS
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Argo CD, or similar DevOps and deployment platforms
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident management practices
  • Security-focused mindset and relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
